Evan Wouters, MA, LLPC

The majority of my experience has beeng working with adolescent clients issues focusing around: anger management, self-harm, suicide ideation, self-esteem issues, relational problems, anxiety, depression, bullying, and behavioral issues. Further, I also have worked with adults in crisis situations that vary from acute episodes of depression to  more severe ongoing mental health issues. I also have a strong passion to work with individuals who give so much of their time and energy to helping others, such as first responders, teachers, social workers, police, etc. Whatever client I work with, the goal is to foster an atmosphere encouraging growth and allowing us to work toward your individualized treatment goals.
My name is Evan and I completed my Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Western Michigan University. I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University as well, while majoring in psychology and criminal justice. I have fifteen years experience working with a variety of cultural backgrounds, ages, and issues. I also have been active in the local Kalamazoo music scene for ten years and enjoy using music and art as a catalyst to inspire discussion. I am elated to begin working with you!
